Celebrating two years of DARKNESS IS SPREADING at the spot where it began.

DARKNESS IS SPREADING is an event collective, founded by artist sarah huny young, that fosters dope music and good vibes from a Black + queer cultural perspective. The name is both an homage to the legendary Rick James skit on Chappelle Show and a mission: to create experiences that center intersectional Black culture and spread the movement throughout Pittsburgh and beyond. DiS currently holds an In the Weeds residency at Ace Hotel Pittsburgh – 4th Monday night of every month.
